Setting up your trial version of the Financial Calculators

1. If you are reading this document, you have already successfully unzipped the files required to deploy the Financial Calculators.

2. Copy the entire contents of the directory created when you ran the DTNCalcs.exe (or unzipped DTNCalcs.zip) to your webserver. By default, the name of this directory is "java". You can use any FTP or file transfer process to copy the files to your website.

3. To access your calculators use the URL: http://www.yourdomain.com/java

   Where "your domain" is the name of your domain and "java" is the directory where you copied the calculator files. The HTML document index.html provides a simple menu for your java calculators.

4. You can modify the calculator pages, by changing the HTML documents associated with each of the four trial calculators. Additional information and instructions can be found at our Customize FAQ on-line at Financial Calculators at Dinkytown.net

5. You may also test the financial calculators locally by opening any of the HTML documents from your web browser. For example, if you extract the files to the folder "c:\java" you can type "c:\java\index.html" into the address line of your browser to see the index page with links to the financial calculators.

For best results please sure Internet Explorer 4.02 and higher or Netscape Navigator 4.7 and higher.

All features that are available with the commercial versions are available with the trial calculators. The trial calculators will provide you with an excellent demonstration of the flexibility and function of the commercial versions. The commercial version, unlike the trial version, is not limited to 30 days, and all visible references to KJE Computer Solutions, LLC and dinkytown.net are removed.
