Yarmouth, MA is a Family oriented area of Cape
Cod, catering to the tourist needs of vacationing
families: Beautiful Beaches, Restaurants, Mini-Golf, Ice Cream, Shopping, Golf, Trampolines, ZooQuarium, Bike Trails, etc.
Our neighborhood is residential with some houses owner occupied and some rentals. We're about a 1/2 mile from the beach. |
BEACHES
Over a mile of sandy beaches along the ocean (South Shore Drive) on Nantucket Sound between Parker's River and Bass River (sans private beach area for the Red Jacket Resort at the Parker's River end).
4 public access points to the water: Thatcher's, Seaview, Parker's and Bass River (Smuggler's Beach). All the beaches are connected, so it creates a leisurely walk along the sandy ocean beach. Although I usually walk to the beach, parking is available for ~$15/day or ~$70/wk to take all the kid's gear to the beach, valid at any Yarmouth beach. The ice cream truck makes frequent stops at each beach. Plus, there's various fun beach activities for those who want to do more than sit on the beach after a good swim...
Thatcher's: 0.6 miles from our house. Lifeguard on duty. Parking is free, but there's not much available.

Seaview Beach: 0.65 miles from our house. Lifeguards on duty. Picnic tables available under shady trees.
Water Sports available............ activities (water trampoline, parasailing, etc.)

| There are 3 public golf courses in Yarmouth: Bayberry Hills (my
favorite is the old course) 508.394.5597, Bass River 508.398.9079, and Blue
Rock 508.398.9295. Click here to get more info about these courses and others on Cape Cod. |

| MINI-GOLF | Pirates Cove mini-golf is about a mile from our house, on Route 28. It has two 18 hole courses that children (and children at heart) really enjoy. Next
door is the Pirate's shopping arcade. Bass River Sports world (also has batting cages, a video arcade and a golf driving range) |
Restaurants: Lots of restaurants can be found in Yarmouth. Exquisite dining, inexpensive quick bites, take out, or delivery, it's up to you. I have a list available at the house for your reference.
